JellyFish Lighting Cost Per Foot: What Dealers Charge
JellyFish publishes about $25 to $35 per foot installed at its corporate locations, plus a $650 to $850 controller. Dealers set their own; here is the math.
JellyFish Lighting publishes about $25 to $35 per foot installed, plus $650 to $850 for the controller, on its own pricing page checked October 28, 2026. That is the price at JellyFish's corporate locations; its authorized dealers set their own. JellyFish's cost article puts a street-facing system at $3,000 to $6,000, about $4,600 on average. Below: every JellyFish figure we verified, what it implies by house size, and one house priced line by line.

About $25 to $35 per foot installed at its corporate locations. The pricing page says installation difficulty, location and time of year all move the price, and it is plain that the range is for corporate locations only: authorized dealers operate independently and their pricing varies.
That makes JellyFish one of the few permanent brands with a public per-foot number. It is still a range, not a rate. A single-storey front with two easy peaks and a steep two-storey with dormers can both be "JellyFish", and they will not land at the same end.
The controller sits outside the per-foot range on the pricing page. A dealer FAQ we checked, Brighthouse Lighting, repeats the same wording: about $25 to $35 per foot installed plus $650 for the controller at JellyFish's corporate locations. Brighthouse does not state its own dealer status on that page.

Here is JellyFish's published range applied to common lit footages, with one controller on top. This is our arithmetic on JellyFish's numbers, not a JellyFish price list, and it ignores peaks, storeys and power supplies.

Two things follow. First, JellyFish's $4,600 average buys roughly 107 to 158 ft at its own range, which fits its "street-facing sides" description. Second, past 250 ft you are into extra power. The product page says 250 ft per controller with more power supplies added through it; the cost article says 263 ft per controller in 263 ft sets, up to 2,400 ft. Plan on 250 ft until JellyFish or your dealer confirms otherwise.
A dealer does not inherit the corporate range. JellyFish's dealer page lists no franchise or territory fees and talks about dealer pricing, but publishes no product cost and no opening order figure. So the rate gets built from your own sheet:
Product per foot at your spacing. 6 inch spacing puts 50 percent more lights on the same foot than the standard, per the product page. Price it as its own line, not the same rate.
Track type. The product page lists standard, canted, fat track, Z flashing and radius track. Odd track is slower to hang.
Labour by run type. Roofline, ridge line, peak and jump are different feet.
Premiums. Pitch on peaks, storeys on upper runs.
Controller and power supplies as lines. One controller per 250 ft, then power supplies.
Your labour warranty, since the parts term and the labour term are separate.

The $250 controller default is well under JellyFish's $650 to $850. If you carry JellyFish, set the add-on from your real controller cost. The method behind each line is in how to price permanent Christmas lights per foot.
A two-storey front: 96 ft of roofline on the first storey, 48 ft on the second, two 14 ft peaks up top, and two jumps totalling 16 ft. Measured from the installer's own photo with the 16 ft garage door as the reference. Photo footage is an estimate and gets confirmed on site before track is cut. Priced on GlowBid's default track line, premiums added on the base rate.

That is 172 lit feet at $29.90 a foot, all in, on one controller since it is under 250 ft. JellyFish's own range at 172 ft plus a controller runs $4,950 to $6,870, so this quote sits in the lower half. Swap the default controller for $650 and the total is $5,542, or $32.22 a lit foot. What does the JellyFish warranty do to your price?#
It depends which page you print. The Jelly Lights product page says 5 years on parts and 1 year on labour. The holiday lighting page says three years on parts and one year of labour. The pricing page is silent. Either way, labour after year one is not in the manufacturer term, so the service visit in year two is yours.
Two moves: write the exact parts term from your dealer agreement on the quote, not a number from a web page, and keep a service call rate on your card. The service call and repair pricing page has the structure, and the profit margin page shows what a year-two callback does to net.
In GlowBid you draw the runs on your own photo, set the scale from a known length, and footage, bill of materials and price all come from that one drawing. Set JellyFish up as its own product line, with a separate line for 6 inch spacing if you sell it, your controller at your real cost, and power supplies as add-ons. Every measurement carries a source tag and a confidence level, and the quote says photo footage is an estimate confirmed on site. Dealers can read more on the JellyFish dealer software page. Plans start at $69 a month or $299 a year on the pricing page, with a 7-day trial (no card) and a 30-day money-back guarantee on a first yearly payment.
FAQ
Questions installers ask
How much does JellyFish Lighting cost per foot?
About $25 to $35 per foot installed, on JellyFish's own pricing page as of October 28, 2026. That range is the approximate installed price at JellyFish's corporate locations. The same page says authorized dealers operate independently and their pricing varies, and that difficulty, location and time of year move the price. Ask your dealer for a per-foot rate by run type in writing.
How much is a JellyFish controller?
$650 to $850 on JellyFish's pricing page. Its cost article says a standard install includes one controller, which is enough for most homes, and that additional controllers are priced separately at $650 to $850 each. Power supply boxes that extend a run cost less than a controller, but JellyFish gives no figure for them. Ask for each as its own line.
How much does JellyFish cost for a whole house?
JellyFish's cost article says $3,000 to $6,000 for a system on the street-facing sides of the home, with an average of about $4,600. It gives no all-sides figure. At its own per-foot range plus one controller, $4,600 buys roughly 107 to 158 ft, by our arithmetic. Lighting every side of a larger house will cost more.
How many feet does one JellyFish controller run?
JellyFish's product page says 250 ft of lights per controller, with more power supplies added through the controller for more lights. Its cost article says 263 ft per controller, extendable in 263 ft sets up to 2,400 ft. Plan on 250 ft, the lower figure, when you size a long house, and confirm with JellyFish or your dealer before you quote a second controller or power supply.
What warranty comes with JellyFish lights?
It depends on which JellyFish page you read. The Jelly Lights product page says 5 years on parts and 1 year on labour. The holiday lighting page says three years on parts and one year of labour. The pricing page does not mention a warranty. Ask the installer which term is in their agreement and get it written on the quote.
Do JellyFish dealers charge the same as corporate?
Not necessarily. JellyFish's pricing page says the $25 to $35 range is the approximate price at corporate locations, and that authorized dealers operate independently with their own pricing. Its dealer page lists no franchise or territory fees but no opening order figure either. A dealer's rate reflects their own product cost, labour and travel, so compare line items, not just totals.
