Built on a ladder in Ottawa
GlowBid is made by Jack Seguin, who runs Luxury Decking and PermaLite in Ottawa and has quoted, installed and taken down lighting on hundreds of homes. For years the quote took twenty-five minutes on a good day: search the address, screenshot the house, draw the lights in one app, measure in another, multiply by the rate card in a calculator, type it into a quote, email it, and hope. By then the homeowner had two other prices.
GlowBid makes the picture, the footage and the price one object. Type the address and the house appears. Draw the runs on the photo. The footage calculates itself, the price builds from your own rate card, and the customer signs on the spot with a deposit in your account before you reach the truck.
The rules we build by
- A wrong price is the one unforgivable bug. The pricing engine is pure, deterministic and tested on every change, and if GlowBid produces a wrong price on a quote you sent, we refund your year.
- Measurements are honest. Every number carries where it came from and how much to trust it, and quotes say that photo measurements are estimates confirmed on site.
- We never store, cache or measure from Google imagery. Street View is a live preview only; the canvas uses photos you own.
- Nothing ships that would generate support tickets in November. Fewer features, bulletproof.
