An Oelo dealer needs software for the part Oelo leaves to the dealer: measuring the house, pricing it per foot and printing the right warranty. Oelo's own pages, as they appeared in search results on October 28, 2026, list starting prices with install, such as $8,138 for 250 ft, and a warranty that depends on the dealer's tier: 7 years for Authorized and up, 5 for Contractor. On GlowBid's default rate card, a 250 lit foot house quotes at $7,129, worked below.
Written by Jack Seguin, GlowBid founder. I run a permanent lighting company in Ottawa. GlowBid is independent software: it has no partnership with Oelo, is not endorsed by Oelo, and does not connect to the Oelo Evolution app, the controller or any Oelo lead system. Oelo's site refused our direct requests on October 28, 2026, so every Oelo fact below comes from Oelo's own pages as they appear in search results, is linked in the sources, and should be confirmed with Oelo before you rely on it.

Read the last column. Most brands give every dealer the same warranty paragraph. Oelo ties it to your tier, so two dealers quoting the same kit on the same street can print different terms. Your quote software has to carry the right one.
Product, marketing money and training, by tier. The Preferred page lists up to $5,000 in ad match, $2,000 of paid search spend geo-targeted within 50 miles at $500 a month from August through November, one hour of platform training plus online training, and one on-site session at your location or Oelo's Fort Collins headquarters, with a $1,000 travel allowance for the trip. Oelo's 2022 tier sheet lists CRM lead distribution as included for Authorized and Preferred dealers; ask whether that still holds.
What none of those pages describes is the estimate. Oelo's cost page says its install prices are starting points that vary by location and complexity. The number that goes on the homeowner's quote is the dealer's: the footage, the per-foot rates, the controller, the deposit and the warranty term.

Move the sliders. The total comes from the same pricing engine GlowBid quotes with, on the default rate card.
Where does dealer software sit next to the Oelo Evolution app?#
Before the lights and after them, never inside them. Oelo Evolution is the homeowner's remote. Its App Store listing, from Oelo LLC of Fort Collins, describes over 55 pre-set patterns, automatic on and off, and patterns scheduled up to 12 months ahead. It does not measure a roofline, price a peak or take a deposit.
In GlowBid the split looks like this. The address search shows a live Street View preview so you recognise the house, and that preview is display only, never stored and never measured. The measuring happens on a photo you or the homeowner own. You draw each run by type (roofline, ridge line, peak, jump), set the scale from a known length, and the footage, bill of materials and price all come from that one drawing. The quote PDF carries the drawing, footage by run, line items and a scope block. The homeowner signs on their phone and pays the deposit by card through Stripe. The free roofline measuring tool shows the drawing step with no login until export.
Two product lines, one for each cover, priced per foot by run type, with the controller on its own line. Oelo sells kits with a metal LED light cover and with an acrylic cover. Its accent brochure puts the acrylic-cover LEDs 10 inches or closer behind a translucent lens, in 8 ft lengths cut to size. The metal kit pages list channel colours from White, Cream and two greys through Tan, two browns, Green, Blue and Black, plus raw or custom. Different covers, different kit prices, different install time: never one shared rate.
There is a second way to set it up. Oelo's cost chart thinks in run lengths (25, 100 and 250 ft), and some dealers sell that way too. GlowBid's kit mode lets a product line price by flat kits instead of per foot: define kits at the lengths you sell, each with your installed price, and the engine picks the cheapest set that covers the drawn lit footage, with peak and storey premiums still applied. Our good, better, best packages guide walks through kit mode. Per foot by run type is still the one I recommend, because a steep two-storey and a flat ranch of the same length are not the same job.
Worked example: a 250 ft two-storey against Oelo's chart#
The house has 150 ft of main-storey roofline, 50 ft of upper-storey roofline, 50 ft of peaks and 12 ft of unlit jumps. That is 250 lit feet, measured from the homeowner's photo with the front door as the reference. GlowBid's default track line, US dollars before tax. Installers set their own rates; these are the starting numbers every new account gets. You can price this house in the free tool.
That is $28.52 per lit foot with the controller in. Oelo's chart lists $8,138 as the starting installed price for 250 ft, or $32.55 a foot. The gap is not a target or a benchmark; it is Oelo's illustration against GlowBid's default card, and your costs set your price. What matters is that the homeowner who saw Oelo's chart can read your quote line by line: footage by run, the premiums, the controller and the warranty term.
Now change one thing: the dealer's tier. Same house, same drawing, same total. A Contractor-tier dealer's scope block says 5 years; an Authorized dealer's says 7. That one line can be the reason a homeowner picks one quote over another, so set the right term on your product lines once and stop retyping it.
Your tier's system term from Oelo, plus your own labour term. Oelo's warranty page, as indexed, gives 7 years on Authorized, Preferred and Platinum installs from January 1, 2024, 5 years on Contractor and DIY installs and on systems installed before 2024, and a 1 year full coverage period in which Oelo repairs or replaces products it finds defective. The labour wording did not appear in the results we could read, so ask Oelo what the full coverage period includes before you promise anything about labour.
Put both in the agreement, not in a conversation. GlowBid's permanent one-time agreement type carries your own clauses, and our permanent lighting installation agreement template has warranty and controller handover wording. Set your call-out fee with service call and repair pricing, and bill repairs from the invoice with its payments ledger.

Install dayController set up, Oelo Evolution on the homeowner's phone
You set up the app with the homeowner before you leave, and you photograph what you installed. On GlowBid Ultimate the work order carries a photo-gated checklist, so the installer cannot mark the job done without photos of the controller and the app. GlowBid stores those photos on the job; it does not read or change anything in Oelo Evolution. When a warranty question comes in during year four, the photos show what went up and when.
Jobs move across a production board (Signed, Booked, In Progress, Finished), you assign installers, and the homeowner signs off at the end. Crew members never see prices or customer personal details. Texting covers appointment reminders and on-the-way messages, with opt-out handling and consent. On Pro, the pipeline board, automated quote follow-ups and quote-view tracking keep leads moving, which matters most from August to November when the paid search spend in the Preferred package is running.
Printing 7 years at the Contractor tier. Oelo's page gives Contractor installs 5. Print your tier's term.
One rate for metal and acrylic. Different kits, different prices. Two product lines.
Matching the chart blind. Oelo calls its numbers starting prices. Price your own costs, then show the arithmetic.
Promising labour cover you have not confirmed. Ask Oelo what the 1 year full coverage period includes, then write your own labour term.
Letting the ad money run with no follow-up. Paid search from August to November fills the pipeline only if someone chases every quote.
Ordering channel from the photo number. A photo measurement is an estimate. Walk the eaves with a tape before you cut, and keep a materials buffer (GlowBid defaults to 10 percent, and you can change it).
Oelo dealers set their own prices, and the warranty can depend on the dealer's tier. When you compare quotes, ask for footage by run, the cover type (metal or acrylic) and colour, the controller as its own line, the Oelo system warranty that applies to that dealer's installs, and how long the dealer's own labour warranty runs.
The permanent lighting dealer software hub covers what five manufacturers give their dealers, and permanent lighting dealer programs compared sets Oelo's tiers beside Trimlight, Gemstone, JellyFish and EverLights. GlowBid is Core $69, Pro $119 and Ultimate $169 a month, or $299, $499 and $699 a year, a yearly price locked while the subscription stays continuous, with a 7-day trial with no card and a 30-day money-back on a first yearly payment. Deposits through GlowBid carry Stripe processing plus a platform margin under 1 percent, shown before you connect Stripe. See pricing. Or start where every quote starts: draw one Oelo house in the free measuring tool and read the lit footage off it.
FAQ
Questions installers ask
Does Oelo give its dealers quoting software?
Not that its public pages describe. Oelo's dealer pages, as they appeared in search results on October 28, 2026, list discounts off list, product credit, ad match, paid search spend and training by tier. Its 2022 tier sheet lists CRM lead distribution for higher tiers. None describes a tool that turns a house into a per-foot quote at your prices, so confirm with Oelo and plan to bring your own.
Is GlowBid connected to Oelo or the Oelo Evolution app?
No. GlowBid is independent software with no partnership, endorsement or data link with Oelo. It does not read the Oelo Evolution app or the controller, does not receive Oelo leads and holds no Oelo part numbers. An Oelo dealer uses it beside the brand's tools: GlowBid for the drawing, quote, signature, deposit and crew, Oelo Evolution for the lights.
Does my Oelo dealer tier change the warranty I can quote?
Yes, per Oelo's warranty page as shown in search results. Systems installed since January 1, 2024 by Authorized, Preferred and Platinum dealers carry 7 years; Contractor and customer DIY installs carry 5. So a Contractor-tier dealer and a Preferred dealer selling the same kit print different terms. Confirm your tier's term with Oelo in writing and put that number in your scope block.
Should my price match Oelo's starting prices?
Not unless your costs do. Oelo's cost page lists starting prices with install, such as $3,750 for 100 ft and $8,138 for 250 ft, and says they vary by location and complexity. Homeowners may have seen that chart, so print footage by run and the controller as its own line. A quote that shows its arithmetic is easier to defend than one that matches a number.
Can I quote Oelo as flat packages instead of per foot?
Yes. Oelo's own cost chart thinks in run lengths, and GlowBid has a kit mode for that: make a product line, set it to kits, and define kits such as 100, 150 and 250 lit feet with your flat installed prices. The engine picks the cheapest set that covers the drawn footage, and peak and storey premiums still apply. Most dealers do better per foot by run type.
Should metal and acrylic Oelo channel be one product line?
No, make two. Oelo sells kits with a metal LED light cover and with an acrylic cover, and the kit prices and channel colours differ between them. Give each its own product line with its own per-foot rates for roofline, ridge line, peak and jump, and name the cover and colour in the scope block so the order matches the house.
